Magazine Rack Repurposed

Here is a magazine rack that we picked up at a local secondhand shop.  We painted it in our glorious morning satin finish.  You can check out a video on this project on our website, later this week.

As another dedicated DIY’er, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE everything you’ve done here, in particular, the different plans for re-upholstery caught my eye, as I’ve been “stuck” on a similar type of project for a few years now, &
your post made me realize that I could use some ideas on finishing the project.
It’s an antique double settee for the bottom of a bed, that’s pretty ornate.
I hope that I can use your easy instructions, with a bit of tweaking, to figure out how to upholster around the carved wooden frame. I’ll try to post a photo of it, before & after. Thanks for sharing your many skills & great ideas!

I redid an old ugly magazine rack, off white chalk paint, stenciled sides and it sold right away!!
